Bitia Buenrostro — Mentor Coordinator
Background: Bitia grew up in the border town of Matamoros, Mexico and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. After teaching high school social studies in South Texas, Bitia moved back to Austin and continued teaching. During her time in Austin, Bitia learned about the vision and mission of the For the City Network and RBI Austin and began volunteering as both a translator for the mentoring program and a t-ball coach. After leaving her teaching career to become the Community Development and Equipping Resident for the For the City Network in 2014, she transitioned to become the RBI Mentoring Resident in 2015 and the Mentor Coordinator in 2016. Amanda Jackson — Communications Director
Background: Amanda is from Dripping Springs and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a focus on sport management and communication studies. After college, she moved to New York City and Boston where she worked in sponsorships and event planning for Major League Baseball and the Boston Red Sox. She later returned to Austin and led marketing and communications for the For the City Network – RBI Austin’s parent organization. There she met Matt Price and helped him launch RBI Austin in 2011. She served on the RBI Austin board for several years before joining the staff in 2014. Amanda is passionate about the gospel and its power to change everything. Email Amanda
Matt Price — Founder and Director
Matt launched RBI Austin in 2011 and has since served as our full-time executive director. Matt has lived in East Austin since 2008 and is passionate about empowering inner-city youth to break generational cycles and become all God created them to be.
Background: Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Matt earned a Business/Economics degree at Wheaton College (Illinois), where he played four years for the Thunder baseball team (NCAA Division III). After moving to Austin in 2007, Matt spent three and half years as a commercial banker at Frost Bank. Matt left Frost to become RBI Austin’s full-time director in December 2010. He is married to Elizabeth, a high school teacher and coach. Email Matt
Daniel Reyna — Program Manager
Daniel joined the RBI Austin team in January 2014 as the Program Manager. Daniel oversees the Summer & Fall Leagues, the Player Development Program, and our Jr. RBI and RBI Clinics. Daniel also serves as our Volunteer Coordinator, Intern & Resident Recruiter, and our Male Mentor Coordinator. Additionally, Daniel assists with marketing, communications, and field/facility management.
Background: Born and raised in Austin, Daniel attended Del Valle High School and Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in International Commerce. He was a Community Development Intern with RBI Austin in 2012 before returning as our Program Manager upon college graduation. Daniel is passionate for fatherless youth in the city of Austin and has personally seen how mentoring/discipleship can alter the course of someone’s life. He is married to Shelby. Email Daniel
